This week, our Parents’ Review Day provided a valuable opportunity for parents and teachers to discuss students’ academic progress, behaviour, and targets for improvement. Such collaboration plays a vital role in ensuring every student reaches her full potential.
Yesterday, our school welcomed nurse visitors who delivered an engaging and informative session on healthy food and nutrition. The nurses spoke to students about the importance of maintaining a balanced diet and how healthy eating supports growth, energy levels, and overall wellbeing. They explained the different food groups, highlighted healthier snack choices, and discussed the long-term benefits of reducing sugar and processed foods.

  Overall, it was a valuable and enjoyable visit that helped raise awareness about making healthier food choices and encouraged students to develop positive habits for a healthy lifestyle.
Year 9 enjoyed an enriching trip to Manchester Cathedral, exploring the beauty, architecture, and rich history of the building. Students were fascinated by the intricate designs, stained-glass windows, and historical artefacts that brought the past to life. It was a memorable learning experience that deepened their understanding of local heritage.
Islamiyah Girls High School proudly marked Anti-Bullying Week with activities promoting kindness, respect and unity. Students took part in discussions, assemblies and awareness tasks focused on recognising bullying and standing up for others. With initiatives positive message displays around school, we reinforced our commitment to creating a safe, supportive and caring environment for all.
