World Hijab Day at IGHS
Today, we marked World Hijab Day by celebrating identity, faith, dignity, and choice. Students proudly wore different coloured hijabs in place of the usual uniform, creating a beautiful display of diversity and self-expression across the school.
We were honoured to welcome a guest speaker who shared her personal hijab journey, offering meaningful reflections on confidence, resilience, and embracing one’s identity. The session concluded with an engaging quiz activity, allowing students to reflect on their learning in an interactive and enjoyable way.

Yesterday, our school welcomed nurse visitors who delivered an engaging and informative session on healthy food and nutrition. The nurses spoke to students about the importance of maintaining a balanced diet and how healthy eating supports growth, energy levels, and overall wellbeing. They explained the different food groups, highlighted healthier snack choices, and discussed the long-term benefits of reducing sugar and processed foods.
