My time at Islamiyah brings many positive memories. It was friendly and welcoming environment where you were academically encouraged and a strong work ethic was instilled into you by the teachers. I achieved A* in Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, English lang, English Lit, Arabic, Psychology, Computer Science, and A’s in History, French, Religious Studies and Additional Maths.

Alongside my medical degree, I am also memorising the Quran.

During my time at islamiyah I was provided with many opportunities which challenged me academically and helped shape me into the student I am today.

Important Notice – GCSE Results 2025

Background and Department for Education Decision

Islamiyah Girls’ High School is providing clarity regarding the publication of its 2025 GCSE (Key Stage 4) performance data.

Following a detailed review by the Department for Education (DfE), involving three senior leads responsible for performance measures data production, statistical publications and school accountability policy, the DfE has confirmed that the GCSE data originally published for the school does not accurately reflect pupils’ outcomes.

The DfE has formally stated that:
“Whilst it is not possible to correct the data, an exception has been agreed to suppress the published KS4 performance measures to avoid the continued public display of inaccurate information.” (DfE confirmation – January 2026)

Because national systems do not allow retrospective correction at this stage, the DfE has confirmed that suppression is the only mechanism available to prevent inaccurate data being publicly displayed.

What “Suppressed” Means

In this context, suppressed means that the school’s GCSE performance figures will not be shown on national league tables or performance websites. Instead, the data will appear as “SUPP”.
This decision has been taken because the DfE has confirmed that its systems do not allow the data to be accurately updated or corrected at this stage. Suppression has therefore been applied to ensure that inaccurate or misleading information is not displayed publicly.
Importantly, suppression does not indicate weak performance or concerns about standards. It reflects a decision to remove data that does not fairly represent the pupils educated by the school.

The suppression will apply to:

– the Compare School and College Performance website
– national GCSE statistical releases
– both revised and final 2024/25 KS4 publications (January 2026 and April 2026)
