GCSE Results
Students at Islamiyah High school (IGHS) are celebrating after opening up their GCSE envelopes to find some of the strongest results achieved in the schools recent history with 91% of pupils achieving Grade 5 or higher in English and Maths, and 90% of the pupils achieving 5 Strong GCSEs, including in English an Maths.
A special congratulations going to so many pupils:
- Imaan Ahmed (5 grade 9s , 3 grade 8s and 3 grade 7’s)
- Wania Khan (1grade 9, 4 grade 8s, 3 grade 7s and 1 grade 6)
- Fatima Bibi (1 grade 9, 5 grades 8s, 2 grade 7’s and 1 grade 6)
- Sanah Yaseen (1 grade 9, 3 grade 8s,1 grade 7 and 3 grade 6s)
- Mehak Waqas (1grade 9, 2 grade 8s, 5 grade 7s and a 1 grade 6)
We are thrilled with the results, the school continuously remains amongst the top performing schools in Blackburn and this year is no exception.
We are incredibly proud of the pupils and admire the resilience, dedication and hard work they have demonstrated. This remarkable success not only reflects on their dedication but also the support and commitment of our staff and their parents.
