Our students had an amazing time ice skating, developing their confidence, balance, and teamwork skills while creating lasting memories with their friends. It was wonderful to see everyone challenging themselves, supporting one another, and having fun throughout the day.

Our students enjoyed a special visit from the ice cream van today as a well-deserved treat. A wonderful way to celebrate their hard work, dedication, and positive attitude throughout the term! 🌟

Our pupils enjoyed carrying out a fermentation experiment, observing how yeast breaks down sugar to produce carbon dioxide.
The practical helped students link scientific theory to real-life processes such as bread making, while developing their observation and investigative skills. A fantastic hands-on learning experience! 🧪✨

From designing graphics to experimenting with media projects, the club provides a fun and engaging space for students to express themselves and collaborate with others. It’s wonderful to see their creativity flourish beyond the classroom! 🎨✨

We were delighted to welcome professionals from the National Health Service (NHS) who delivered an engaging and informative session to our Year 9 students.

The session provided valuable insights into careers within healthcare, the importance of wellbeing, and the vital role the NHS plays in our community. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, deepen their understanding, and be inspired by real-life experiences shared by the visitors.

🧪 Practical Science in Action
Our students took part in an exciting practical lesson where they successfully prepared copper sulphate crystals.
Through this experiment, students explored key scientific techniques such as heating, dissolving, filtering, and crystallisation—bringing their learning to life in a hands-on way.

🌿 Fieldwork in Action – Geography Lesson
Our students stepped outside the classroom and into the field for a hands-on Geography lesson, where they carried out a quadrat sampling experiment to investigate the abundance of grass species in the area.
This practical activity allowed students to apply their knowledge in a real-world context, developing their data collection and observational skills while exploring the natural environment.
Learning beyond the classroom makes Geography come alive! 🌍

Supporting Student Wellbeing

Our Year 10 students recently took part in a Mental Health Service session during their PSHCE lessons, delivered by Heather Hook from Hook Platform.

As part of the NHS-supported initiative, students learned about the importance of mental health and the support available to them. Hook Platform offers a free online counselling service, providing students with one hour per week of support at no cost.

👏 A special well done to Maryam Yasar and Faeezah Patel, who received small rewards for their excellent participation and thoughtful answers during the session.

We are proud to continue promoting wellbeing and ensuring our students have access to valuable support services.

We were honoured to welcome a guest speaker this Monday who delivered a powerful and thought-provoking session on “Knowing Allah.” 🌙
Through a beautifully presented PowerPoint and meaningful reminders, students were encouraged to reflect, deepen their understanding, and strengthen their connection with Allah.
